Before & After: Aurora Family Room

We recently transformed our client’s family room from an outdated, cluttered space into an elegant, cozy retreat. By updating the built-in cabinets, reupholstering chairs, and adding a chic console table with lamps, we brought new life to the room.

Before: Dated and Cluttered

The original plain white shelves were underwhelming and didn’t add much to the room’s design or functionality. The shape was odd; the corners were angled, and there was a large empty space for an old fashioned TV.

The heavy, worn-out plaid fabric on the chairs and ottoman made the room feel dark and dated, dominating the space.

The room lacked a central console table and cozy lighting, making it feel unfocused and less inviting.

After: Stylish and Cozy

We installed rich wood cabinetry that added warmth and sophistication, enhancing the room’s overall aesthetic with thoughtful details and new hardware.

For the chairs and ottoman, we chose a light, airy fabric with a scenic toile design, brightening the space and adding elegance without overpowering it. The trim at the skirt bottom adds another sophisticated touch.

Adding a console table with intricate design and a pair of elegant lamps created a warm, inviting ambiance and a clear room division.

#### **Overall Impact**

This transformation turned the family room into a stylish, inviting space perfect for everyday living and entertaining. It’s now a room our clients love to spend time in.
